Premium BEV joint venture — Changan + CATL + Huawei.
AVATR is the premium BEV joint venture between Changan Automobile, CATL (the world's largest battery maker) and Huawei. The combination is unusually strong: Changan brings vehicle engineering, CATL supplies the batteries, and Huawei provides the HarmonyOS infotainment and ADAS stack. For export buyers serving premium urban markets, AVATR sits in the same segment as Polestar or Tesla without the brand-recognition risk of less-established Chinese marques.
1 model ready for CIF/FOB export to dealers and fleet buyers.
The current AVATR lineup includes the AVATR 11 (mid-size BEV crossover), AVATR 12 (mid-size BEV sedan, coupe styling), and AVATR 06 (compact BEV crossover). All three share an 800V architecture supporting 10-80% DC fast charge in under 30 minutes on compatible CCS2 chargers.
The Huawei HarmonyOS cockpit is the brand's strongest differentiator. The full English-language UI, integration with Huawei phones (and a working subset of features with iOS), and the ADAS package (which uses LiDAR on the higher trims) put AVATR ahead of most Chinese BEV competitors on software experience.
For export, AVATR meets Euro 6 and most stricter destination-market emissions and safety standards out of the box. The brand's small dealer footprint outside China means after-sale parts support runs through CATL's and Huawei's service networks where they exist, and through Sino Gear's coordinated channel for markets where neither has a presence — we recommend buyers confirm warranty serviceability in their market before ordering.
Lead time is 25-45 days. Orders ship from the AVATR plant in Chongqing via Shanghai. The 06 fits 2 per 40' HC container; the 11 and 12 fit 1-2 depending on packaging.
