What Is It

What Is the GAC Aion Y?

The GAC Aion Y is a compact electric crossover built by Aion, the EV arm of GAC — one of China’s state-owned “Big Four” automakers. Aion is the dominant EV brand in China’s ride-hail fleets, which means the Aion Y has been hardened by exactly the kind of high-mileage, multi-shift use that breaks lesser EVs.

It is deliberately boxy to maximise interior space: a flat floor, a roomy rear seat and a practical, upright cabin that feels larger than its footprint. Range runs from roughly 430 to 610 km CLTC depending on the battery variant, and it lands at a notably low price for a usable family EV.

GAC Aion stock is sourced to order rather than held — we allocate against a confirmed buyer order and lock spec and lead time when you commit.

Pricing Structure

How Your FOB / CIF Quote Is Built

Sino Gear quotes in USD against the Incoterms you choose. The two quote types buyers ask for most are FOB and CIF — here is exactly what each one includes so you can compare apples to apples against other suppliers.

FOBFree On Board

The vehicle loaded on board the vessel at the Chinese port, cleared for export. You arrange (or we separately quote) the ocean freight and insurance.

  • Export-spec vehicle, ex-stock or ex-factory (English UI confirmed, correct drive-side, destination-market calibration)
  • Inland trucking from the factory / China warehouse to the load port
  • Export documentation — Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Origin / Form E where applicable, COC where the destination requires it
  • China customs export declaration and origin-port terminal handling
  • Loading — container stuffing with lashing and bracing, or RoRo drive-on
CIFCost, Insurance & Freight

Everything in FOB, plus ocean freight and marine insurance prepaid to your destination port. You take over at the destination quay for import duty and local clearance.

  • All FOB line items above
  • Ocean freight, China → your destination port (20′ / 40′ HC container, or RoRo where the route runs)
  • Marine cargo insurance — all-risk, customarily 110% of CIF value

EXW is available if you run your own China-side logistics. Import duty, VAT/sales tax and destination clearance are always the buyer’s account. Standard payment is 30% T/T deposit with the 70% balance against the Bill of Lading; irrevocable L/C is accepted from US$50k.

Why Overseas Buyers Choose It

Why the Aion Y Works Abroad

Fleet-proven, not fleet-experiment

Aion is China’s leading ride-hail EV brand — the Aion Y is already hardened by the most demanding duty cycle an EV faces.

Space for the money

Boxy packaging gives a roomy family cabin at a price well below most EVs of equivalent interior space.

A “Big Four” maker behind it

GAC is a state-owned major with mature manufacturing — credibility a fleet buyer can underwrite a purchase on.

Ready to register, not a project

Every export VIN is configured and inspected China-side before the Bill of Lading: English (or your market’s language) infotainment confirmed, OEM warranty registered, and — for EV/PHEV — the charging adapter packed in the car.

Documentation handled end to end

Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, Certificate of Origin / Form E and COC where required — prepared so your customs broker clears the unit without back-and-forth.
